UW-CIMSS Satellite Products: Recent Research and Developments

This poster will summarize the new satellite-based R&D at UW-CIMSS over the past couple of years as applied to tropical cyclones. Some of the topics will include the latest in satellite wind applications, derived products, advances in the ODT, development of AMSU techniques, use of diagnostic fields, assimilation studies, and transition into operations. Each topic will be briefly summarized and the relevance to TC issues will be highlighted.
