The COMET Program: a decade of professional development for our civilian and military weather services

Since 1990, the COMET Program has provided advanced meteorological training for both civilian and military weather forecasters. Funded by five U.S. federal agencies and Canada, the program has delivered professional development for a diverse learner population by providing both residence courses and computer aided learning modules. Today the program reaches nearly 30,000 learners worldwide.
