Dispersion in and above plant canopies

Edward (Ned) Garrett Patton, NCAR, Boulder, CO; and J. C. Weil and P. P. Sullivan

The influence of vegetation on dispersion is investigated using a lagrangian particle dispersion model driven by velocity fields derived from a canopy-resolving large-eddy simulation. We examine plume dispersion statistics as a function of source height and atmospheric stability.
