How to Create a Weather Page

Frankie C. Vann, Lakewood High School, Salemburg, NC

“Creating Your Weather Page” is an old activity that remains a favorite among teachers. A couple of reasons this activity is still liked by many teachers is that it is very inexpensive, requiring little other than coloring pencils and a current USA Today paper. Students are able to draw and color isotherms on a blank map generated from current temperature information. Another reason is that the activity level can be varied easily depending on the age group of the students.
