Description:

Supercooled water drops and especially supercooled large drops are
critical hazards for aviation. These conditions were sampled
extensively during the In-Cloud ICing and Large-drop Experiment (ICICLE)
field campaign in 2019. This session will encompass research and product
development based on analysis of data collected in various icing
conditions during ICICLE.  Topics may include research related to the
aircraft and ground-based instrumentation, data analysis techniques, NWP
model parameterizations, and data assimilation methods utilizing ICICLE
datasets. Development and verification of icing weather diagnostic and
forecasting tools and their input fields will also be covered in this
session.
