Description:
GIS applications are widely used in many applications including but not limited to hydrological, weather and climate applications. Continuous advancements in GIS technology offer opportunities to benefit the assessment and decision making processes by engineers and meteorologists alike. The focus of the proposed topic is the development, deployment and use of GIS applications to process hydrological data (e.g. radar precipitation estimates, satellite-derived precipitation estimates, precipitation modeling, etc.) as well as display, assess, diagnose and forecast hydrological concerns and hazards. Submissions comprising either/both custom and off-the-shelf GIS applications as well as either commercial and open source are welcome to submit. In addition, submissions related to applications used in research or operations are
encouraged.
