This joint session between the 12^th Conference on Weather, Climate, Water and the New Energy Economy and the 11^th Symposium on Lidar Atmospheric Applications solicits research studies related to applications of lidar observations for all aspects of the renewable energy sector including but not limited to resource assessment, understanding boundary layer processes and improvement of weather and climate models.
