Description:
Vulnerability is a complex concept, one that is investigated and characterized across a variety of disciplinary theories and methods. This session highlights research that theorizes concepts of vulnerability (and resilience) and/or that provide empirical examples from extreme weather and climate contexts. Papers address a variety of extreme weather events at different scales to help complicate definitions of and offer approaches to better understand vulnerability.
