Description:

This session is designed to engage the audience and provide demonstrations of open source tools available for using satellite data to monitor the environment. The presentations should encourage the audience to join the demonstrations using their personal computers. The demonstrations will show how these tools apply environmental satellite data to help monitor and/or forecast specific weather/environmental events.  These presentations and demonstrations will also help provide teachers with direct access and with the basic tools and skills necessary to readily utilize and implement satellite products/applications in their classes.
