Joint Session 6 Aerosols and Health – short and long-term health impacts of exposure

Tuesday, 12 January 2021: 4:00 PM-5:00 PM

Description:

Aerosols are associated with a myriad of health impacts including susceptibility to respiratory infections including SARS-CoV-2 and influenza, lung function, and hospital admissions for cardio-respiratory disease and mortality. Both acute events, such as haze episodes and persistently poor air quality can impact human health. This session will focus on presenting science related to both acute and long-term health impacts of aerosol exposure from natural and anthropogenic sources. Works on epidemiological studies, in vivo and in vito methods are welcome.
