Session 8 Risk Communication in the Weather Forecast and Warning Process, Part 2

Wednesday, 13 January 2021: 1:00 PM-2:00 PM

Description:

The second of two sessions highlighting risk communication research and strategies across hazards. Risk communication encompasses a broad range of theories and approaches, though a common theme in the Weather Enterprise is how to improve aspects of the forecast and warning process through understanding risk communication along the end-to-end communication spectrum, from experts to publics. Papers and presentations in this session highlight research findings, challenges, and collective experiences with the weather forecast and warning process through the lens of risk communication.
