The development of light-scattering techniques to address non-spherical morphologies has revealed the limitations of the Lorenz-Mie theory in applications to aerosol retrievals. Combining such modeling with polarization measurements has provided a powerful technique to characterize atmospheric aerosols. In this presentation, we will provide examples of comparisons of experimentally measured light scattering with model calculations and show retrievals that
