The Federal Meteorological Community (FMC) has completed a historic change in the way coordination is done between agencies. The leaders of the FMC have implemented sweeping changes in the coordination of meteorological services and supporting research in response to Public Law 115-25. As of August 2020, the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), and members of the Federal Committee for Meteorological Services and Supporting Research (FCMSSR) merged the functions of the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meteorology (OFCM) and National Earth System Prediction Capability (ESPC). The Interagency Council for Advancing Meteorological Services (ICAMS) replaced the FCMSSR, which served for nearly 60 years.

Since the creation of ICAMS, member groups have continued key interagency efforts from the previous structure and embarked on new activities in response to national priorities discussed with OSTP. This talk will give an overview of the organization and discuss recent efforts.
