NOAA's visionary Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) Program is set to succeed the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) – R Series mission from 2030 to 2050. GeoXO stands as an innovative milestone, propelling Earth observations from geostationary orbit to new heights. Its mission is to provide essential information to address imminent environmental challenges, thus supporting weather, ocean, and climate operations across the western hemisphere. As a continuation and expansion of the GOES-R Series, GeoXO introduces new capabilities to tackle emerging environmental complexities that affect the security and well-being of diverse populations.

This presentation will outline an inclusive and forward-looking approach to GeoXO user readiness and our plan for executing strategic user engagement - the GeoXO User Engagement Roadmap. Through strategic user engagement, we are actively reaching out to diverse users to capture and document their needs. Our presentation will shed light on the strategies and actions taken and will take to proactively engage with an array of users representing varied sectors. By establishing a dynamic user engagement roadmap, we emphasize the evolution of our engagement activities in the near future and over extended timelines. This proactive engagement will culminate in user-defined scientific endeavors and a heightened state of user readiness as GeoXO takes flight.
