Abrupt track change of typhoon near landfall has been an important subject for both research and operational interests, especially near island-based high terrains. Typhoon Doksuri (2305) when approached northern Luzon making loop track and stalling for a period of ~ 3 hours. It is interesting to explore the changes of low-level circulation in the inner core and the possible role of terrain in the northern Luzon on the track changes during its passage of Bashi Channel on 26 July 2023. The radar data from Aparri radar in the northern Luzon and from Kenting radar in southern tip of Taiwan are used for this observational study.
