Honeywell’s HALAS (High Altitude LiDAR Atmospheric Sensing) played a critical role during a successful commercial stratospheric flight at Spaceport America. The HALAS ground-based weather information system provided atmospheric data that allowed for quick verification across meteorological modelling, leading to the most accurate high-resolution data input for mission planning, flight path adjustment, and take-off/landing decision support. We will present the measurement campaign and the resulting weather measurements.
