Honeywell HALAS LiDAR systems to increase frequency of high-altitude soundings

Honeywell’s HALAS (High Altitude LiDAR for Atmospheric Sensing) technology enables range resolution of atmospheric winds, temperature, density, humidity and several other data products. The system can continuously provide soundings, increasing the quantity and relevance of upper air measurements, with data available as a commercial service. Recent results with the Honeywell HALAS system and a description of a potential network of these systems will be presented.
