The Space Weather Research-to-Operations-to-Research (SWR2O2R) program has been developed to accelerate targeted space weather research efforts toward operational implementation in support of advancing space weather specification and forecasting capabilities. Under the quad-agency agreement and working closely with partner agencies (National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA; National Science Foundation, NSF; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA; and Department of the Air Force, DAF), NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) has dedicated resources to evaluate the progress of the currently funded awards and working with NASA on forming the transition process. To better communicate future capabilities that SWPC is aiming toward, an annual town hall meeting was also initiated in April 2023 before the due date of the proposal call. In this talk, SWPC's efforts in moving research to operations along with other partners, projects that are selected for transition steps, and future capacities that align with SWPC’s future strategies will be presented and discussed.
