Dr. Lulin Xue is a Project Scientist III at NCAR where he leads and conducts numerous fundamental and applied research projects. During his career at NCAR, Dr. Xue led the development of the WRF-WxMod® system that includes cloud seeding parameterizations and novel cloud seeding case-calling algorithms. This modeling system lays the foundation for the successes of multiple cloud physics related research projects at NCAR. Dr. Xue has a broad range of research interests and topics which cover cloud microphysics and dynamics in organized convective systems, land-atmosphere interactions, boundary layer and mountain meteorology, high-resolution convection-permitting regional climate simulations, and climate change impacts on agriculture. Dr. Lulin Xue also co-leads the Common Community Physics Package (CCPP) project at the Developmental Testbed Center (DTC). His research produced 90+ published journal papers and 1 awarded US patent, and led to 40+ invited seminars internationally.
