An invited panel will provide an opportunity for AMS Members and partners to learn more about the groundbreaking Rising Voices Changing Coasts (RVCC) Hub, the largest NSF research award in tribal college and university history. Hosted by the Haskell Foundation, serving Haskell Indian Nations University, in partnership with NCAR and many community, non-profit, university, agency, and more partners across the U.S., a panel of representatives of the RVCC-Hub will provide:

  • An introduction to undertaking convergence science --
  • An overview of initial implementation of the program including targeted work in four regions – Alaska, Louisiana, Hawai’i and Puerto Rico;
  • A summary of the Hub’s programs in education and training; and
  • Plans for subsequent years of the Hub program.

Following the panel, Symposium participants will be invited to ask questions and help set the stage for ongoing dialogue during the rest of the day.
