With Amazon AppStream 2.0, graphics-intensive streaming instance types are available and designed to provide high-performance graphics capabilities needed to run AWIPS CAVE from dispersed locations ensuring essential weather forecasts, warnings, and research activities are carried out. In this session post, we will show how to run the AWIPS CAVE workstation using Amazon AppStream 2.0 in a secure and cost-effective manner providing meteorologists and researchers with instant access to AWIPS CAVE from anywhere. We will also show how you can create Amazon AppStream 2.0 images that contain AWIPS CAVE install that you can stream to your users. Lastly, we will show how to implement authorization and authentication to AWIPS CAVE Amazon AppStream 2.0 streaming instances.
