Description:
The response of the planet to a radiative perturbation is modulated by climate feedbacks, and the strength of these feedbacks determines the climate sensitivity. Climate sensitivity has proved difficult to constrain, but it is thought most of the uncertainty lies in the response of clouds to climate change: cloud feedbacks.
We invite research which seeks to understand and constrain cloud feedbacks through understanding of cloud processes and cloud responses to warming. Possible topics include using a combination of theory, observations, and/or models to evaluate cloud feedbacks, or compare them across different models and methods. We especially invite topics that seek a process understanding of cloud feedbacks either holistically or focusing on different processes in different critical cloud regimes.
