Description:
Open science increases access to knowledge and expands opportunities for new voices to participate. Sharing the data, code, results, and knowledge associated with the scientific process lowers barriers to entry for historically-underrepresented communities, enables findings to be more easily reproduced, and generates new knowledge at scale. Open science also represents a cultural shift that encourages increased collaboration and participation from diverse backgrounds, scientific disciplines, gender, ethnicity, and expertise. Success, however, depends on all of us working together to change the frameworks from which we operate.
We invite proposals that address the process of doing open science, as well as the benefits and challenges of doing open science for early career scientists.
