The times they are a-changin’ in the long male-dominated fields of meteorology, weather and storm chasing - but we aren’t there yet. This session highlights research and efforts that help us understand what it will take to create a truly gender-equal playing field in these areas, such as: identification of barriers to entry, communication methods, mentoring, accessibility efforts, creation of safe and welcoming spaces for community building, amplification of work and content, and more.
