Identify strategies to monitor and understand processes of the African atmospheric composition using field campaign experiments, surface in-situ measurements, satellite retrievals, model simulations, including data assimilation. The goal is to accurately assess aerosol and gas surface fluxes and their atmospheric fate, in order to better quantify and potentially reduce the impacts on human health, ecosystems, and climate across the African continent.
