Description:
We are looking forward to scientific contributions across all aspects of laboratory, field. and modeling studies on atmospheric ice formation including ice nucleation (IN) and secondary ice production (SIP). We welcome research on technique development and mechanistic insights of IN-SIP as well as field-based IN-SIP research, including long-term monitoring of ice-nucleating particles (INPs), intensive field INP observations at the ground and using vertical profiling, and studies investigating SIPs. We are also inviting contributions to bridging the gaps between experimental work and modeling, e.g., through the development of new parameterizations for INPs and SIPs in the atmosphere and dedicated aerosol closure studies, as well as atmospheric ice formation and SIP modeling across scales.
Submission Deadline: Thursday, 15 August 2024
