Description:
Climate change impacts on urban populations is expected to be heterogenous with underserved communities facing more consequences. Understanding this heterogeneity both in terms of the physical drivers for these changes and developing potential mitigation strategies is of interest. In this session we will explore these issues both from the aspect of developing appropriate physical models that scale to neighborhood and street scales, measurements within the urban canopy developing the appropriate datasets for evaluating the models and models and observations of mitigation strategies.
