Description:
The aim of this session is to highlight federal funding opportunities available for atmospheric science research across NOAA that would advance the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise. As both high-impact weather phenomena and a changing climate continue to affect life, property, and the national economy, foundational research remains critical. From tropical cyclone intensity forecasts or advancing precipitation prediction to uncrewed systems and improving model resolution, research is essential to the advancement of science and technology - and securing funding is fundamental. This session will serve as an opportunity for the broader scientific community to learn more about federal funding opportunities at different competitive research programs within NOAA. Key information will include the frequency and cycles of funding opportunities for research pertaining to a diverse portfolio of topics, available funds, research priorities, and more. We encourage the submission of presentation abstracts from NOAA offices that would be interested in providing an overview of funding opportunities available through their programs and labs.
Submission Deadline: Thursday, 15 August 2024
