Description:

Atmosphere, Ocean, Cryosphere, and Ecosystem Sciences has a growing scientific community using Causal Inference theory and applications related to our climate system.  These methods are critical tools to identify feedback processes across the systems.  These tools have been used to identify climate impacts that are accelerated by climate change factors.  To improve our climate models, we need to use observations to assess feedback processes using causal discovery techniques to identify causal pathways that can understand and visualize feedback processes using observations and/or numerical models.
