This session seeks to explore the topics of weather and AI in the local New Orleans community. AMS 2025 will be almost 20 years since Hurricane Katrina (2005) and we invite submissions on topics of how NOLA has evolved since that event, and if there are any special actions/considerations for underserved and vulnerable populations of NOLA for future potential disasters, and/or about any ways AI may be being used in these potential plans. Additionally, we invite submissions on topics such as how hypoxia events or other impacts from climate change have had potential impacts to fisheries/other seafood and/or industries that rely on water conditions.
