Poster PDF (1.5 MB)
Ice crystals were grown, sublimated and regrown under controlled conditions in both a static and dynamic diffusion chamber at temperatures between -10 C and -20 C. Crystals were nucleated and grown on narrow glass filaments and on the surface of frozen drops adhering to the filaments. Habit changes and memory are addressed as a function of ice supersaturation and ventilation.
