Results from a real-time implementation of the CLAVR (Clouds from AVHRR) project will be shown. Comparisons of the AVHRR derived liquid water paths will be compared to those produced from AMSU. Derived cloud liquid water paths from island-based microwave radiometers are used to validate the retrieval algorithms. Error analysis of the cloud liquid water paths for various cloud types will be discussed.
