P2.5
The connection between air mass differences and foehn during TREX
Georg J. Mayr, Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics, University Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria; and F. S. Schüller
The relation between air mass differences between the western and eastern side of the Sierra Nevada and the onset and end of foehn on the western slope is examined. Air mass differences are inferred from radiosoundings, surface stations and model analyses during the two-month period of TREX.
