The TRMM satellite is in space more than 6 years and sending us useful rainfall information. The data is valuable for many areas, such as disaster monitoring, weather forecast, ENSO monitoring, fishery application and more. In this study we utilized the 3G68 dataset of Version 5 with 0.5 x 0.5 degree gridded resolution to understand the characteristics of both PR and TMI rainfall estimation and show the difference of these estimation.
