A comprehensive real-time and historical satellite products database used for meteorological and climate studies is available on NASA Langley’s Clouds and Radiation website (http://www-pm.larc.nasa.gov). Online datasets include cloud properties derived from Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES), National Oceanic and Atmospheric (NOAA) Advance Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR), and TERRA and AQUA Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). Cloud properties as well as high-resolution multi-spectral imagery data are available over the USA, Atmospheric Radiation Program (ARM) Southern Great Plain (SGP) and Tropical Western Pacific (TWP) sites, PACS region, and several field mission domains. These cloud products are disseminated in binary and GIF formats and archived to online database. This paper summaries the content of the online database and details web-based satellite browsers and tools to access satellite imagery and products that are essential in many research studies and field programs.
