How to apply tools for mitigating climate extremes

Hideyo Murakami, Ii Ecology Laboratory, Fukuoka-City, Japan

The Earth is getting warmer and there are many climate extremes in the world. The climate extremes could be caused by global warming. Many studies are proceeding in the world to prevent global warming. The author proposed a tool which is a set of Sunlight Shield Equipment composed of a flat balloon. Balloon's surface has a mirror function. When the Sunlight Shield Equipment is set in the stratosphere, its surface reflects sunlight to space. When the gross surface area of many sets of the Sunlight Shield Equipment could be equal to about one percent of a region area, a mean value of the region temperature could decrease by about one centigrade. If many sets of the Sunlight Shield Equipment are set over an origin region of climate extremes, the region is cooled and climate extremes could be mitigated. This paper describes how to apply the Sunlight Shield Equipment for mitigating climate extremes.
