We present an analysis of the tornado dissipation period of the Goshen County, Nebraska, supercell of 5 June 2009 intercepted by the second Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment (VORTEX2). We present integrated analyses of single- and dual-Doppler observations from the Doppler On Wheels (DOW) and NOXP radars along with in situ surface thermodynamic observations obtained by the NSSL-PSU mobile mesonet. Outflow properties, airflow patterns, and interactions with terrain during this period will be compared to those during the pretornadic and mature tornado phases to highlight the processes leading to tornado demise.
