David Emory Stooksbury, Office of the State Climatologist, Athens, GA; and J. J. O'Brien, P. A. Christian, M. Griffin, S. L. Morey, L. G. Parker, and P. N. Knox

The Southeast Climate Consortium is developing a web-based climate tool for commercial and recreational fishers in the southeastern United States. The product will be available on-line by 1 July 2005.

Development of this product is a three phase process. The first phase involves face to face interviews with commercial and recreational fishers. The interview phase is being performed by the UGA Marine Extension Service. The second phase is the development of the needed climate products using the information collected in the interview phase. The second phase is being performed by the State Climatology Offices in Florida and Georgia. The third phase is testing and web-based product with the user community and improving the product based on users' comments. The third phase involves Marine Extension Service and the State Climatology Offices.

Member institutions of the SCC are Auburn University, Florida State University, University of Alabama – Huntsville, University of Florida, University of Georgia, and the University of Miami.
