Effects of Increased UV-B upon the Ecosystem of Grown Wheat in China

This paper is a part of the research into effects of increased UV-B upon the ecosystem of field wheat. Based on a 3-year project with intensified UV-B influencing the crop, observation and calculation were made of such factors and parameters as the morphology of a single wheat plant including its height, leaf age, tillering, leaf area, leaf base angle, the weights of its stem, leaf, dry substance and ears, and the number of grains, and also the population°¯s productivity consisting of growth/development interval, growth rate, relative growing rate, leaf area index, leaf area duration (LAD), net assimilation, dry substance weight, ears per unit area (ha) and the weight of 1000 grains, thus allowing to investigate the influence of increased UV-B upon the growth of single wheat plants and the population and to explore the variation in ecological eigenvalues characterizing the population productivity with increased UV-B available.
