New entrainment rate parameterization for a unified PBL scheme

ADHOC2 is a unified higher-order closure- mass flux model that is capable of simulating clear as well as cloudy pbls within a single framework. Using this scheme in a large-scale model requires a method to determine the entrainment rate. Using the mass-flux parameters, we derive a consistent formula for the entrainment rate at the pbl top for clear and smoke cloud cases. This can be generalized to cloudy boundary layers as well.
