The Wildland Urban Interface has officially been recognized as a national problem and has long been a challenge for land managers. Burning thousands of homes and millions of public and private acres we must look to local citizens to protect thier communities from these fire events. Firewise Communities presents solutions and options for adopting a Firewise style of living. Firewise communities can preserve homes as well as cherished lifetyles, views, and natural settings for wildlife and recreation. Firewise communities is a public private partnership.
