Research to Commercialization: Meeting the Mission & Increasing Return on Investment (Invited Presentation)

The Technology Partnerships Office performs and facilitates Research to Commercial Application (R2C) for NOAA. The TPO helps identify commercial opportunities for NOAA developed technologies; enables partnerships between US industry and NOAA labs; supports protection of NOAA’s intellectual property, and promotes small business involvement in NOAA’s mission areas through Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) grants. The NOAA TPO will speak to the importance of incorporating R2C and private/public R&D partnerships in the strategic scope of NOAA’s mission activities.
