JPSS Advocacy activities at the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies are designed to advertise and suggest ways to user data from polar-orbiting satellites. This ongoing project, in consultation with the NWS in Alaska and Pacific Region, seeks to catalog training materials relative to polar orbiters under two umbrellas: A YouTube Channel that contains, to date, 13 videos describing different JPSS topics (NUCAPS Soundings, MiRS Sea Ice, Total Precipitable Water, etc.) and a website containing links to other training materials and data sources. This presentation will show training examples and discuss how to use the satellite imagery.
