NOAA's Weather and Climate Toolkit (WCT) is free, platform independent software distributed from NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). The WCT allows the visualization and data format conversion of weather and climate data, including radar, satellite, model and observation data. The WCT also provides access to weather/climate curated collections of data and web services provided from NOAA, NIDIS, the NOAA Big Data Project and other organizations.

The WCT supports interoperability with the capability to both read and write data from a variety of sources. The WCT can export data to a variety of formats, including Shapefile, GeoJSON, NetCDF, GeoTIFF and more. A variety of visualization platforms can utilize these data formats to create compelling visualizations that meet the needs of the target user community.

The presentation will explore the visualization capabilities of the WCT and provide examples of numerous additional tools and visualization examples that utilize the data conversion output of the WCT.
