William Callahan, Earth Networks, Germantown, MD; and S. Woll

The amount and usability of weather information has increased significantly over the past few decades due to the emergence of new technologies, the explosion of computing and communications capacity, as well as the expansion of public-private partnerships. This new reality has led to and is being further stimulated by new federal policy that codifies how government, industry and academia should work together within the weather enterprise. This talk will discuss specific ideas, plans, and ongoing activities within the community that will lead to deeper and broader collaborations across the American and International Weather and Climate Enterprises as well as significantly enhanced capabilities and solution sets across the globe.
