GNC-A went operational in April 2008, and currently serves users in 19 countries.

The current product suit contains a number of NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) products, including 7 Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) channels, 9 RGB Composites, 18 Baseline Products and Geostationary Lightning Mapper (GLM) for GOES-16; 7 ABI channels of GOES-17, and a large selection of S-NPP/JPSS/Low Earth Orbit imagery and products; and other products from national and international content providers.
