Turbulent spectra and cospectra in the Atmospheric Surface Layer (ASL) in near neutral condition is investigated in the coastal region of Doha, Qatar. Measurements of wind velocity and temperature fluctuation were performed using data from sonic anemometer placed 8 meters above water surface and 500 meters into the ocean. As the first micro-metrological investigations in this region, results are presented in nearly neutral condition of ASL with Monin–Obukhov stability parameter in the range of -0.5≤z/L≤0.5. The composite of 15-minutes spectra under stability classes agrees with those specified as Monin–Obukhov similarity theory in mid to high frequency region. However an increase in low frequency end of the spectra and energy drop of the cospectra were observe to be different with some of the reported trends in the literature. This difference is believed to be due to the effect of local condition and large eddies in our work.
