As communicators, one of the key questions we hear from scientists is “how can I ensure my science is reaching customers, users, and the general public?” One key aspect for scientists is to consider a variety of techniques in communicating climate that would meet their audience where their audience is. To “Mind the Gap” between climate science and the end user, we will have a panel discussing three areas that, separate and together, can be used to help reach your target audience: using social science to build impact; creating visual interest through data visualizations; and engaging your audience through storytelling. This panel will leave you with tools and strategies to improving your climate science communication work.
