A dual-Doppler analysis of a nontornadic supercell observed on 12 June 2004 using ground-based doppler radars

Mario Majcen, Pennsylvania State Univ., University Park, PA; and P. Markowski, Y. Richardson, and J. Wurman

Dual-Doppler wind syntheses derived from Doppler On Wheels (DOW) data will be presented in order to document the morphology and evolution of low-level kinematic fields within a nontornadic supercell observed during the ROTATE-2004 deployment on 12 June 2004. We also hope to include some trajectory and vortex line analyses. Time permitting, the characteristics of this nontornadic supercell will be compared and contrasted with a tornadic supercell dual-Doppler case from ROTATE to be presented by another investigator at the conference.
