During VORTEX2, cyclic mesocyclogenesis in multiple supercells, both tornadic and nontornadic, was observed. Here we present radar analysis of the different types of cyclic mesocyclogenesis using a combination of radar observations. We show the importance of the developing mesocyclone's role in the completion of the occulsion process of the prior mesocyclone. We will compare VORTEX2 cases with a previous case in which cyclic mesocyclogenesis was observed within stormscale dual-Doppler coverage.
